Straight Forward Explanation Of Our Limited Warranty

Belmont Textile Machinery Company, Inc. strives to build reliable and durable industrial

machinery. Our machinery has a history of 24/7 operations for decades before they are finally

retired in favor of more advanced technology. If we fall short in our efforts to provide such

reliability and durability, this is what we will do to rectify the situation:

 

DEFECTIVE ASSEMBLY OR INSTALLATION

If we have failed to assemble the product properly, damaged a part during the assembly, left off a

component, or improperly installed the equipment – we will, at our option, send a replacement

assembly or come to your business and correct the assembly or installation. During the 12-

month period, from date of manufacture, we will provide this warranty service at no cost to you.

This labor will be scheduled in collaboration with you, as quickly as our resources allow,

between 6 AM and 9 PM, Monday through Friday.

 

DEFECTIVE PART OF OUR DESIGN AND/OR MANUFACTURE

If a part that we specify and/or manufacture, fails due to faulty design, workmanship or material

– we will, at our option, send a replacement part to you or repair the defective part during the 12-

month period, from date of manufacture. We will pay reasonable ground shipping charges both

ways during this period.

 

DEFECTIVE PART MANUFACTURED BY A THIRD PARTY

If a commercial part that we supply as a component of our equipment fails due to defects in

workmanship or material during the 12-month period from date of manufacture – we will “pass

through” whatever warranty the third party manufacturer provides.

 

FITNESS FOR INTENDED PURPOSE

Our products are in operation throughout the industry. We offer this experience and our

reputation that our equipment is suitable for such purposes. We provide no warranty as to fitness

for intended purpose.

 

DETERMINATION AND PROCESS

We retain the right to determine whether failure occurred due to defect, wear, accident or abuse.

We require a purchase order from you to cover costs not covered by warranty and for cases

where warranty is denied.

 

WHAT WE DO NOT WARRANT

We do not warrant your lost production. We do not pay for expediting charges. We do not

provide loaner parts or equipment. We do not provide labor to replace warranted parts. We do

not replace equipment that can be more economically repaired. We do not warrant “wear” items

(such as bushings) or items that normally fail during prolonged operation (such as timing belts,

lamellas, side plates, traverse guides and dogs and the like). We do not warrant parts that are

damaged because of misuse.
